Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and passionate educator to provide in-person tutoring in Apache Junction, AZ for a 2nd-grade student needing support in ELA and Math.

This position includes 2–3 sessions per week with flexible scheduling based on your availability. Instruction is personalized and designed to strengthen foundational skills while boosting confidence and academic growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for certified teachers or experienced educators looking for flexible, impactful work with one-on-one student support.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, encouraging relationships with students and families
• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in reading and math
• Assess student needs and track progress toward goals
• Communicate promptly and professionally with YTT staff and parents

Qualifications

• Certified teacher or former/current private school teacher (retired educators welcome)
• At least 1 year of professional teaching experience (required)
• Tutoring experience preferred (training available)
• Passionate about education and committed to student growth
• Reliable and organized, with strong communication skills

Compensation & Schedule

• Job Type: Part-time
• Pay: $30.00–$75.00 per hour
• Schedule: 2–3 sessions per week (flexible based on availability)
• Location: In-person (Apache Junction, AZ)
