Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of landscaping crew members to complete daily tasks efficiently and safely
- Oversee landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and mulching
- Manage irrigation systems installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal water use
- Coordinate landscaping projects such as garden design, construction, and hardscape installation
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations
- Train crew members on proper techniques for lawn care, tree care, horticulture practices, and equipment operation
- Maintain safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines during operations
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, and gardening with a strong understanding of horticulture principles
- Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction environments
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques including fertilization, aeration, and pest management
- Familiarity with construction practices related to landscape projects such as retaining walls or pathways
- Expertise in tree care including pruning, cabling, and health assessment
- Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and effectively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
