Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safety during sessions.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and provide guidance on post-treatment care.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments administered, client progress, and any relevant medical information in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend follow-up treatments or referrals as needed for ongoing health improvement.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and facility policies.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and certifications to continually enhance your skills and service quality.
Experience
- Valid OHIO licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
- Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in multiple modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess patient needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
- Experience working in medical spas or similar healthcare settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and patient assessment processes.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport while delivering exceptional customer service.
