Job Summary
Credit Union seeking a dynamic and motivated Membership Representative to join our team. The Membership Representative will work closely with potential members to understand their needs and promote the benefits of membership. Provide an excellent experience with the ability to serve a member with any request, including transactional, accounts maintenance, loan applications and/or loan processing and closing. Serves as additional primary first point of contact for members both in-branch and over the phone.
Duties
- Engage with potential members through various channels to generate leads and convert inquiries into memberships.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing member questions and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Process the opening and closing of accounts and/or overall membership for new and existing members.
- Perform opening CD’s, notices, maturing reports and complex transactions
- Assist members with properly completing loan applications; prepare the application for the underwriting by gaining all necessary information from the member at the first contact.
- Ensure assigned GLs are balanced and reconciled
- Assist with Dormant, Abandoned Property processing and Collections
- Knowledge of IRA’s, CD and backup for ACH and Share Draft processing
- Assist with Paying invoices and Branch balancing
- Cross-sell additional products and services to best fit member needs.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Minimum of 2 year of Retail banking experience
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on relationship-building.
- Ability to multi-task; good time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly ethical
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting customer needs.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
