About the Role
Are you handy around the house and looking for a rewarding way to use your skills? We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to handle light repairs and routine upkeep for our property.
In this role, you will be working in addition to our existing full-time Maintenance Engineer. You won't be responsible for the "heavy lifting" or major structural work orders; instead, your focus will be on knocking out light daily repairs, room refreshes, and essential upkeep tasks.
This position offers incredible flexibility with shifts available anytime between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Whether you want daytime weekday hours or an evening/weekend block, you can easily design a schedule that works for you. Because you will often work with minimal direct supervision, consistent productivity and a strong work ethic are required.
What You'll Do
- Light Plumbing: Repair or replace toilet fill valves, handles, and flappers; clear slow drains in sinks and bathtubs.
- Painting & Touch-ups: Handle minor interior touch-up paint and occasional exterior painting projects.
- General Upkeep: Replace light bulbs, repair/replace weather stripping on doors, and handle general property fix-it tasks.
- Deep Cleaning: Periodically shampoo carpets and steam clean tile flooring.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct quarterly preventative maintenance (PM) checklists and perform routine carbon monoxide and smoke detector safety checks.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Independent Worker: Must be highly self-motivated and able to stay on task and work efficiently without constant supervision.
- Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Handy Skills: Basic, hands-on experience with minor home or property repairs (plumbing, painting, general troubleshooting).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift maintenance equipment and comfortably perform physical tasks (bending, lifting, climbing ladders).
