Job Summary

The Director of Clinical Education is pivotal in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within Your Health Organization. This position requires a strong clinical background and exceptional leadership skills to design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational programs. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with leadership and staff across departments to identify training needs, develop innovative learning solutions, and ensure that all staff have the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional patient care. This role involves mentoring and coaching staff, promoting a positive learning environment, and driving process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Needs Assessment: Identify and address the educational needs of staff through needs assessments and ongoing evaluation.
• Clinical Expertise: Serves as a clinical resource and role model, providing mentorship and guidance to staff.
• Professional Development: Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff, including continuing education, certifications, and advanced practice roles.
• Evidence-Based Practice: Promote the integration of evidence-based practices into clinical care through education and training.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership, other departments, and external stakeholders to develop and deliver effective educational programs.
• Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Mentorship: As a Director of Clinical Education within our value-based care organization, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment. You will mentor new employees, helping them to integrate into our organization and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver high-quality patient care. Your mentorship will contribute to their professional growth and success.
• Research: Stay current with relevant research and incorporates findings into educational programs.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum of [3] years of clinical experience
• Master’s degree in nursing education or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in adult education principles and methodologies
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage and demonstrate effective leadership skills.
• Should demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills under all conditions and circumstances.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Team player with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demonstrate sound judgment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and travel between offices, facilities, etc. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order.

• Certification in Nursing Professional Development (CNPD) or a related field
• Experience in developing and delivering online or blended learning programs
