Position Summary
The Marketing Communications Manager oversees strategic and tactical communications and marketing strategies to increase public engagement, brand awareness, and understanding of Your Health Idaho and grow enrollment. This role is responsible for managing marketing and communication efforts across digital, print, and community channels, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging that aligns with Your Health Idaho’s mission.

We are also the only place where Idahoans can apply for and receive a tax credit that can lower the cost of their monthly premiums. Responsibilities (Position May Include Additional Functions Not Listed)
- Manage the marketing and communications team, including hiring, training, development, performance coaching, accountability, defining expectations, and other related management duties.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy and paid advertising campaign to enhance brand awareness and increase Idahoans’ understanding of Your Health Idaho during Open Enrollment and Special Enrollment periods.
- Oversee the development and implementation of Your Health Idaho’s branding, publications, website, intranet, social media, newsletters, brochures, presentations, and marketing collateral.
- Guide the analytics and performance of social media and other marketing efforts to optimize results and maximize impact.
- Work with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop media relations strategies to secure appropriate placements in print, broadcast, and online local media. Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
- Ensure communications, messaging, and website content are consistent and align with Your Health Idaho’s key messages and brand voice.
- Collaborate with the Outreach Manager on campaigns to engage and partner with organizations, agents, and community-based entities to further educate Idahoans about Your Health Idaho.

- Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or marketing
- 5 years’ experience in corporate communications or marketing, as well as experience in a management role
- Experience in driving healthcare and organizational communication messaging platforms and programs is a plus
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as proofreading
- Comfort level working under tight deadlines, working cross-functionally, and overseeing projects and/or programs
- Detail-oriented and the ability to reason logically and formulate ideas and opinions, and can handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace, adapt to a continually evolving environment, and oversee programs and projects independently
- A committed team player with exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships
- Ability to assume responsibility and maintain confidentiality consistent with the values and integrity of Your Health Idaho
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to work primarily in office settings. Occasional facilitation of meetings, workshops, or group meetings. Use of standard office machines.
- Ability to listen to and understand others as well as the ability to give and receive instructions via telephone, computer messages, face-to-face, and in writing. Must possess the ability to write and compose correspondence, memorandums, and reports manually and via computer or email.
- May require occasional travel.
- May occasionally need to lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
