Assistant Teacher/Floater

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide essential support to lead teachers and help create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment. Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities.
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, including toddler care, preschool routines, and Montessori-inspired methods.
• Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements or disabilities such as autism or other developmental delays.
• Help facilitate classroom transitions, snack times, nap times, and other routines essential for young children’s well-being.
• Collaborate with team members on curriculum development and lesson planning to ensure engaging and educational experiences for all students.
• Assist with classroom setup, materials preparation, and cleanup to maintain an inviting learning space.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and daily activities.
• Support inclusive practices by working closely with children from various backgrounds and abilities, including those requiring behavior management strategies or additional support.

Skills

• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school environments.
• Knowledge of special education strategies and working with children with autism or disabilities.
• Proficiency in lesson planning across literacy education, math, social skills, and curriculum development.
• Excellent classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and engagement.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings as a floater while maintaining consistency in teaching quality.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and team members.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for early learners.
