Preschool Cook/Child Nutrition Specialist

We are looking for a Preschool Cook / Child Nutrition Specialist to join our early childhood education program located in Dripping Springs (78620)

*candidate should live within a 25 mile commute radius

Work schedule is 30-40 hours per week, competitive salary, generous paid time off (full time eligible) and health insurance. Training will be provided for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve morning & afternoon snacks and Lunch for young children
• Follow state childcare licensing Food prep and food safety guidelines (training provided)
• Accommodate food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special nutrition plans
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food storage area
• Prepare age-appropriate menus that support child development and wellness
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and proper storage
• Communicate with the Directors regarding menus and nutrition needs

Qualifications

• Enjoy Cooking
• Knowledge of basic nutrition and food safety practices
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a structured environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to pass required background check
• CPR/Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain) company paid
