Internship Overview
We are seeking one Sales & Marketing Intern to join our team for a structured, training-focused internship. This role is designed for students or recent graduates who want hands-on exposure to B2B and B2C sales strategy, marketing campaign development, and communication techniques within the higher education and international education sectors.
This internship is structured as an educational opportunity where the intern is the primary beneficiary, aligned with U.S. Department of Labor guidance under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The intern will work under close supervision and mentorship and will not replace paid staff.
What you will learn
This internship will provide training and exposure to:
B2B Sales (Universities and Institutions)
- Understanding how universities evaluate vendors and student service partners
- Building value propositions for higher education decision-makers
- Learning partnership outreach strategy and pipeline fundamentals
- Observing how B2B conversations are structured (discovery, follow-up, positioning)
B2C Sales and Marketing (Students and Parents)
- Learning how to market to international students and study abroad students
- Understanding student behavior, concerns, and decision-making patterns
- Exploring community-driven and trust-based marketing strategies
Marketing Campaign Strategy
- Designing campaigns with specific goals (awareness, engagement, lead generation, conversion)
- Learning audience segmentation and message adaptation
- Understanding multi-platform marketing and content repurposing strategies
- Exploring PR and storytelling techniques relevant to the education space
What you will do (Training-based and supervised)
Under guidance and supervision, you will assist with:
- Researching universities, student audiences, and potential partners
- Drafting sample outreach messages and marketing copy (reviewed before use)
- Supporting the creation of marketing campaign ideas for different target groups
- Brainstorming messaging strategies for both B2B and B2C audiences
- Helping organize campaign plans and timelines
- Learning basic CRM and lead qualification principles (training-based)
- Reviewing performance insights and summarizing learnings
Note: This internship focuses on education, observation, training, and guided practice. The intern will not independently manage revenue-driving activities or replace paid employees.
Ideal candidate profile
This internship is a strong fit if you are:
- A current student or recent graduate in Business, Marketing, Communications, International Relations, or related fields
- Interested in sales, partnerships, business development, or marketing strategy
- Curious about the higher education / international student space
- Interested in studying abroad or international education (study abroad experience is a plus, but not required)
