You are the beginning of an exceptional guest experience. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for helping drive and grow the business through acquiring, maintaining and servicing hotel clientele. You will also be expected to uphold and maintain exceptional standards of guest service by going above and beyond to ensure the guest’s total service experience.
Responsibilities:
- Selling short term/smaller group business.
- Respond to inquiries - inbound phone and written.
- Conceptualize, draft and send well-constructed and professional correspondence and proposals.
- Host property tours, familiarizing customers and potential customers with property features, products and services.
- Assist in the coordination of client appreciation events and sales blitzes.
- Create and monitor group rooms reservations.
- Work with sales leaders to ensure group reservations are accurate.
- Develop professional sales presentation materials, with guidance and utilizing available resources.
- Maintain positive inner-hotel relationships with all hotel departments to expedite efficient communication.
- Maintain an organized professional-looking office environment.
- Represents themselves and the hotel with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, a service focused approach and a caring, sincere attitude at all times.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and brand property Management System(s).
- Exercise excellent communication and listening skills.
- Knowledge of hotel rates, strategies, discounts, and promotions a plus.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.
- Strong guest service orientation, utilizing empathy and creative thinking.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience minimum 6 months office or sales experience.
- Experience with Hilton, Marriott, IHG brands a plus.
