With school back in session and our schedule expanding, Your Columbus Dog Walker is looking to hire a reliable Part Time Dog Walker right away!

In this role, you will provide essential exercise, outdoor enrichment, and companionship to dogs across our service area. This mid-day position is ideal for animal lovers looking for consistent weekday hours, competitive pay with guaranteed minimums, and a clear work-life balance with no required nights or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely walk dogs individually or in small family groups outdoors across various weather conditions.
• Follow established safety protocols and safe handling techniques, paying close attention to leash control and proper harness fit.
• Monitor dog behavior and health during walks, ensuring safe interactions and recognizing signs of stress or discomfort.
• Maintain clear, reliable communication with our operations team and complete electronic check-ins and updates for clients via our smartphone app.
• Safely manage travel between client homes across your assigned route within the mid-day timeframe.

Requirements

• Experience: Professional or volunteer pet care experience handling dogs other than your own personal pets. Experience with large breeds like German Shepherds or Saint Bernards is a major plus.
• Schedule: Available Monday through Friday from approximately 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (10 to 20 hours per week with a 10-hour guaranteed weekly minimum). No evenings, weekends, holidays, or overnights required unless you request them.
• Transportation: A reliable personal vehicle, valid driver license.
• Technology: A modern smartphone capable of running our scheduling, communication, and GPS tracking software.
• Physical Capability: Ability to walk multiple miles daily and work comfortably outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Background & Certifications: Willingness to undergo a background check and complete Pet CPR and First Aid certification prior to hiring.
