Duties
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, floors, and storage areas.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as organizing ingredients and supplies to support culinary staff.
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service.
- Manage proper food handling procedures to meet health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely clearing of tables and bussing of dining areas during service hours.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with basic cleaning techniques and food handling safety standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
