Role Description The W2 Medicare Agent role is a full-time, on-site position based in Thomasville, GA. In this role, the agent will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their healthcare and retirement coverage needs, explain Medicare and supplemental options, and recommend suitable plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting consultations, following up on leads, managing client appointments, and maintaining accurate documentation of interactions and enrollments. The agent will work with carrier platforms and internal systems to process applications, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide ongoing policy support. This position offers a base salary plus commission, with performance expectations tied to client acquisition, retention, and quality of service.
Qualifications
- Strong client service and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex Medicare and insurance concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Sales and relationship-building abilities, with experience in prospecting, lead follow-up, and guiding clients through decision-making processes.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including accurate record-keeping, time management, and efficient use of CRM or agency management tools.
- Compliance and ethical standards, with attention to detail in adhering to Medicare, CMS, and state insurance regulations and company policies.
- Active health insurance license (or willingness and eligibility to obtain one) and familiarity with Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D plans.
- Comfort working with digital tools and online platforms for quoting, enrollment, and client communication.
- Ability to work on-site in Thomasville, GA, collaborate with a team, and adapt to changing products, guidelines, and market conditions.
