Job description
Younity is hiring a Low Voltage Technician with a focus on access control systems to join our growing Operations team. You'll install, service, and troubleshoot access control systems, while also supporting structured wiring and low-voltage installations across residential and commercial properties β including the systems that power our property-wide WiFi networks.
Younity delivers high-speed, reliable WiFi with simple setup to properties across the NY Metro area. We're expanding fast and looking for experienced technicians to grow with us.
This role reports to our Head of Operations and offers growth opportunities
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot access control systems, including readers, locks, controllers, and wiring
- Diagnose and resolve access control service issues for existing installations
- Assign to general low-voltage and structured wiring projects and service tasks as needed
- Install and maintain cable systems, including conduits, ladders, racks, j-hooks, and raceways
- Perform structured wiring for new construction and retrofit projects
- Terminate RJ45 jacks and patch panels to industry standards
- Set up and organize telecom racks and devices with professional cable management
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to guide installation work
- Submit daily progress reports to team leads to keep projects on schedule
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Valid OSHA 10 and SST certification cards
- Experience installing access control, security camera, or AV systems
- Minimum 3 years of structured wiring experience, ideally in multifamily or commercial projects
- Proficient in coaxial and Ethernet wiring across various structure types
- Experience installing cable management systems, racks, and telecom devices
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and line diagrams
Preferred:
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools (e.g., digital multimeters)
- Experience with AC products and platforms as Brivo, Altronix and Butterfly.
- Leadership experience as a foreman or lead technician

Compensation
- Hourly rate of $40-$50, depending on experience.
