Position Summary
The Program Manager oversees the daily operations of the CPST After-School Program, ensuring effective coordination of staff, student group placements, transportation logistics, and program activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining a structured, safe, and engaging environment that supports the behavioral health and developmental goals of participating students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Coordination: Assign students to appropriate peer groups based on age, needs, and clinical recommendations.
- Transportation Logistics: Organize and monitor van routes for student pickup from schools and drop-off to homes; communicate daily with drivers, families, and staff.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Manage staffing schedules, handle call-offs, and adjust coverage as needed to ensure adequate supervision and program flow.
- Meal Oversight: Supervise dinner service and maintain a safe, orderly mealtime environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supplies (meals, materials, cleaning products, etc.) and communicate with the Director of Operations when items need replenishment.
- Safety and Compliance: Uphold agency safety protocols and ensure adherence to all OMHAS and program requirements.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between staff, transportation personnel, and the Director of Operations.
- Leadership: Provide direction and support to staff, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a positive work culture.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Education, Behavioral Health, or related field preferred.
- Experience in youth programming, behavioral health, or education setting.
- Prior experience with scheduling or staff supervision preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Work Environment
The Program Manager works in a fast-paced after-school environment serving youth with diverse behavioral and emotional needs. Flexibility, patience, and leadership are essential to ensuring daily success and safety.
Schedule and Hours
Work Hours: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, when the after-school program is in session (no work required when schools are closed).
Additional Time: An additional 0.5 hour per day is allotted for staffing coordination, including handling call-offs, scheduling adjustments, and communication with staff (total 4 hours per day).
Total 4.5 hours per day – flexible based on staffing and program requirements
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18.0 per week
