What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Specialist position at Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority?
This position of Housing Specialist is responsible for processing applications, annual and interim re-certification programs; assist applicants with housing application and required documentation; provide applicants in person or by phone with appropriate application procedures; conduct group briefing and session; use of the computer and software Tenmast to enter applications, run reports, retrieve and update data; schedule appointments, compute income and determine monthly rents in compliance with the HUD polices and other governing entities. Verify and gather all client information as required for file compliance; schedule Housing Quality Standards inspections; maintain inspector schedules. SKILLS: strong organizational skills, proficient in use of computer and various software applications, ability to work with a diverse group of applicants.
