JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to support the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of our facility. The Janitorial Technician plays an essential role in ensuring that production, warehouse, office, and common areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and committed to maintaining a clean and professional workplace that supports efficient operations across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General Facility Cleaning & Upkeep
• Perform daily cleaning of production areas, restrooms, break rooms, laboratories, and office spaces.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors as required.
• Remove waste and recyclables from designated areas and transport them to appropriate disposal locations.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, equipment exterior surfaces, tables, and high-touch areas.
• Sanitation & Safety Compliance
• Follow all sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Replenish supplies such as paper products, soap, sanitizer, and PPE in assigned areas.
• Support spill clean-up procedures and assist with containment when needed.

• Specialized Cleaning Tasks
• Perform scheduled deep-cleaning tasks including:
• Production and Warehouse area floor scrubbing
• High-dusting in production and warehouse areas
• Cleaning interior windows, walls, and partitions
• Pressure washing designated areas (as assigned)
• Assist with cleaning in controlled areas, including laboratory or cleanroom-adjacent spaces, following proper protocols.
• Workplace Organization
• Maintain janitorial closets, carts, and supply storage areas in accordance with 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
• Track cleaning supply inventory and notify management when items need to be restocked.
• Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, stored safely, and maintained in working order.
• Quality, Safety & Professional Conduct
• Adhere to all company safety procedures, including use of required PPE.
• Report any facility issues, hazards, or needed repairs to management promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with production and warehouse teams to minimize disruptions during cleaning.
• Demonstrate consistent reliability, professionalism, and respect for shared workspaces.

• General
• Other duties and responsibilities as needed by the business.
• To potentially include assistance on production line, if required.
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior janitorial, custodial, or sanitation experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environment preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around industrial equipment, noise, and occasional chemical exposure (PPE provided).
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Work in environments where latex is present; exposure is unavoidable.
  
  
  

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday with occasional variation based on facility needs.
• Work is performed in production, warehouse, laboratory-adjacent, and office spaces.
• Requires adherence to all PPE, cleanliness, and safety requirements.
