What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Driver- Organic Farm and Bakery position at Youngs Farm - Organic Farm and Bakery?
We are looking for a part-time driver to join our Facilities and Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate is hardworking, organized, able to follow directions, and is a morning person! The job is 5 days per week, 6am-11am, totaling 25 hours per week. There is also an opportunity to work more hours if desired.
Our market includes produce grown on our own organic farm as well as local farms on the east end of Long Island. Almost every morning, we send a driver to multiple farms for various produce pickups. It would be your job to drive our farm van or box truck to the farms, load the produce, and eventually unload it back at home base. Although this is a driving position, its requires you to be able to lift up to 50lbs and have strong organizational skills to properly fit the delivery in the van.
Qualifications:
- Experience driving is required
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be comfortable driving large vehicles, including a box truck
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs & willingness to work in the elements
- Clean background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
