What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Housing and Lodging Coordinator position at Youngquist Brothers LLC?
Field Housing & Lodging Coordinator
Youngquist Brothers, LLC | Fort Myers, FL | Full-time, in office
About Us
Youngquist Brothers is one of the leading water well drilling contractors in the country, with crews working on projects across Florida and beyond. Our field teams are the backbone of the company, and making sure they have safe, comfortable, and convenient places to stay is a top priority.
The Role
We’re looking for an organized, resourceful, and personable Field Housing & Lodging Coordinator to manage lodging for more than 200 field employees. You’ll be the main point of contact for crews who need a place to stay. Some live in company-provided apartments and single-family homes, and others stay in hotels near our jobsites. Some crews follow routine rotation schedules, but much of this job is solving same-day and last-minute housing needs, so you need to be calm under pressure and quick on the phone.
What You’ll Do
- Find, negotiate, and maintain nightly, weekly, and extended-stay rates with hotels near current and upcoming jobsites.
- Build and manage relationships with hotel sales managers and property contacts so we get dependable availability, direct billing, and consistent pricing.
- Serve as the single point of contact for field employees and supervisors, handling daily calls, texts, and emails for new bookings, changes, extensions, and cancellations.
- Coordinate housing for routine crew rotations and keep rooms ready ahead of mobilizations.
- Manage company-provided apartments and houses: occupancy assignments, move-ins and move-outs, utilities, furnishings, maintenance requests, and periodic inspections.
- Work with project managers and operations leadership to anticipate housing needs as jobs start, shift, or wrap up.
- Track all reservations, occupancy, and costs in a central system, and reconcile hotel invoices against bookings.
- Find cost savings by comparing hotel rates against lease options in areas with long-term work.
- Resolve on-site lodging issues such as room problems, billing disputes, and guest conduct concerns, professionally and quickly.
- Keep accurate records and report regularly on lodging spend, utilization, and vendor performance.
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of experience in corporate travel, hotel sales or front desk operations, property management, crew or workforce housing, or a similar coordination role.
- Strong negotiation skills and comfort working directly with vendors on rates and terms.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle many moving pieces without dropping any.
- A calm, solution-focused approach to urgent, last-minute requests.
- Clear and friendly communication with field crews, supervisors, and hotel staff alike.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel especially) and comfort learning booking or tracking systems.
- Knowledge of Florida geography is a plus.
- Experience supporting construction, oil and gas, utilities, or other field-based industries is a plus.
Schedule & Location
This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Fort Myers office. Because crews sometimes need help outside normal hours, late night and weekend availability by phone is expected.
