About the Role
The Supply Chain & Materials Manager is a key member of the IOTA Management Team, responsible for providing strategic leadership across all aspects of materials management and supply chain operations. This role drives procurement excellence, cost control, production planning, supplier performance, and continuous improvement while developing and mentoring a high‑performing materials team.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong hands‑on leadership experience, deep knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, and a passion for Lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve materials procurement to maximize customer service levels while minimizing inventory, waste, and cost
- Establish, track, and achieve company‑wide cost savings goals
- Spearhead supplier negotiations and implement effective cost‑control initiatives
- Manage supplier and logistics relationships to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Provide direct leadership and oversight of the Materials Department, including talent development and performance management
- Develop and implement KPIs, metrics, and standards for all aspects of materials management
- Drive improved production planning and inventory optimization processes
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and Finance
- Oversee the accounting, disposition, and control of obsolete, defective, or rejected materials
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations; participate in audits as needed
- Leverage internal and external best practices to improve processes and performance
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership on goals, progress, risks, and results
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8 years of progressive experience in materials or supply chain management
- Advanced knowledge of MRP/DRP planning systems and processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven supplier negotiation experience
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience with ERP system development and implementation
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop teams
- Strong strategic thinking, organization, and planning skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred
- 10 years of materials or supply chain experience
- APICS certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and solve complex problems
- Experience presenting to leadership, customers, and external partners
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Process‑improvement mindset with a track record of driving results

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
