Job Overview
Young Women’s College Prep is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven, and highly organized Manager of Enrollment, Parent Engagement, and Community Relations. In our small, tight-knit 7-12 community, every student matters. This dual-focus role is critical to our school’s success, serving as the first point of contact for prospective families and the primary bridge to our local community.
You will own the entire student lifecycle; from initial recruitment and application through enrollment and retention, while actively building partnerships that elevate our school's profile.
Responsibilities
Enrollment & Admissions Management
- Drive Recruitment: Design and execute targeted recruitment strategies to attract new students into grades 7–12, ensuring the school hits its target enrollment of 410 students.
- Lead Admissions: Manage the full application, lottery (if applicable), and registration process using our student information system.
- Family Onboarding: Conduct school tours, host info sessions, and guide prospective families warmly through the enrollment pipeline.
- Retention Strategy: Collaborate with school leadership to ensure strong matriculation from grade 8 into high school.
Parent Engagement, Community Relations & Marketing
- Build Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with local feeder elementary schools, community centers, youth organizations, and faith-based groups.
- Event Planning: Coordinate internal and external community events, including Open Houses, orientation nights, and neighborhood festivals.
- Storytelling & Marketing: Manage the school's social media presence, website updates, and flyers to showcase our unique student culture and academic success.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, community organizing, or customer relations. Experience in a charter or public school setting is a major plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect authentically with diverse families.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with student enrollment software (e.g., SchoolMint, PowerSchool), social media platforms, and basic design tools (e.g., Canva).
- Language: Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish/English) are highly desirable but not required.
