Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced auto transport drivers with a valid Class A CDL license and at least two years of verifiable driving experience. Candidates should have a clean driving record and a professional attitude. Drivers may be based from various domicile areas, including but not limited to locations within the region, and will operate regional routes hauling vehicles between dealerships and auto auctions. We also offer local routes for drivers who prefer to stay close to home. This full-time role involves loading, securing, and unloading vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Drivers will log hours electronically to produce proof of delivery (EPOD) and inspection reports, ensuring accurate documentation. The position offers home nights, competitive pay, and benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and performance bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Load and secure vehicles onto the trailer safely and efficiently
- Use handheld devices to create EPOD and inspection reports for each delivery
- Communicate with customers to coordinate pickup and delivery times
- Update dispatch regarding progress, delays, or issues
- Complete Bills of Lading and delivery paperwork accurately
- Log working hours via electronic logging devices in compliance with regulations
- Conduct safety checks on the truck and report any mechanical or safety issues to management
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL license with at least two years of verifiable driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Experience in auto or car hauling preferred
- Ability to operate handheld devices for reporting purposes
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Calm demeanor and positive attitude toward safety and customer service
