Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our retail pharmacy operations with energy and precision. Duties
- Lead and supervise the pharmacy team, including pharmacy technicians and support staff, to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient service.
- Oversee medication dispensing, ensuring accuracy in medication administration, and deliver exceptional patient satisfaction.
- Manage inventory levels meticulously, including stock replenishment, medication , and storage, and controlled substance accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, state pharmacy laws, and hospital policies related to patient privacy and medication safety.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, including pediatrics and critical care cases.
- Utilize pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR) for prescription processing, documentation, and record keeping.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services such as pain management consultations, immunizations, and medical management support.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for medication reconciliation, medical terminology interpretation, physiology knowledge, and patient care planning.
Experience
- Previous retail experience as a pharmacist preferred.
- Completion of a pharmacy residency program is preferred to demonstrate advanced clinical training.
- Extensive clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on patient service, assessment, and medical management.
- Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR), inventory management tools, and sterile compounding techniques.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols essential for accurate patient assessment.
- Experience with immunizations administration is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team while maintaining high standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.
