After-School Elementary Art Teacher - **Very Part-time Position**

Must reside in Elk Grove, CA area.

Must have at least 6 months of experience in youth enrichment, working with groups of 8 children or more.

Come join our Young Rembrandts Sacramento Valley team in the greater Elk Grove area! Young Rembrandts is a national award-winning after school art program. Our innovative step-by-step process teaches children basic drawing techniques and the use of multiple mediums. The curriculum encourages children to express their imaginations while improving motor skills, patience, focus, and ability to stay on task.

Young Rembrandts Sacramento Valley will train qualified instructors in the Young Rembrandts methodology and teaching technique. All lessons, supplies, and materials are provided.

We offer classes in public and private elementary schools at the end of the regular school day. As a Young Rembrandts Art Teacher, you must be available to teach at a minimum of two schools (two afternoons) each week. This position is very part time, hours are from 4-10 hours a week (2 hours per school).

Young Rembrandts Sacramento Valley provides $22-$24/hour (depending on experience) which is $44-48 per art class. This salary is paid for both teaching hours and prep time, staff meetings, and training!

Training starts in July/August and we are looking for a teaching commitment for the entire 2026-2027 school year (August-May).

Qualifications:

• Experience working with groups of children
• Capable of motivating children and guiding their behavior
• Energetic and enthusiastic
• Reliable and punctual
• Patient and empathetic
• Able to create a safe and positive classroom environment
• Possess strong classroom and behavioral management skills
• Ability to teach organized lessons for students
• Art experience

Requirements:

• Love kids!
• Available at least 2 afternoons a week
• Attend monthly staff meetings
• Must be at least 21 years of age per school district requirement
• Must provide your own reliable transportation
• Maintain a valid Driver’s License and Proof of Auto Insurance
• Complete TB testing
• Livescan background check (personal cost will be reimbursed once training is completed)
