Currently Hiring Art teachers for Schools and Recreation facilities in the following areas of Young Rembrandts Chicago's Northshore territory: Evanston, Wilmett, Winnetka, Glencoe, Kenilworth, Glencoe, Glenview, Northbrook, Deerfield, Lincolnshire, Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, Beach Park, Waukegan, Zion, Winthrop Harbor.
Job Description
- Please note that this is a VERY part-time position.
- We offer a 45-minute Preschool drawing lesson to ages 3.5 to 5 and a 60-minute Elementary and Cartoon drawing lesson to ages 6 to 12.
- Class rate is $26-$28 per Preschool/Elementary/Cartoon class taught to children.
- Young Rembrandts will train qualified Instructors in the Young Rembrandts methodology and teaching technique, and are provided all lessons, supplies, and materials. The teachers are required to follow Young Rembrandts methodology of teaching. To learn more about the Young Rembrandts method visit: www.youngrembrandts.com
- The Elementary and Cartoon lessons are taught right after the dismissal time in schools which is on weekdays during the school year. These classes are also taught to children in the evenings and weekend mornings in Recreation facilities.
- Instructors are assigned to schools and stay with the same school throughout the term.
- Instructors must follow the dismissal policy of the schools where they are teaching.
- Instructors are responsible for motivating groups of children and guiding their behavior in a class environment.
- We also offer Drawing workshops to children ages 6 to 12 during Summer, Winter and Spring School break in the Recreation facilities.
Art Teacher Requirements
- Clean Background is required.
- Teach our drawing classes at the schools in one or more of the above-mentioned areas in Young Rembrandts Chicago's Northshore territory.
- Committed, reliable and trustworthy.
- Applicants must have artistic ability, have the passion for teaching drawing to children and ability to manage children class size of up to 20 kids.
- Experience teaching children is a plus but not a must have.
- An art degree is a plus but not a must have.
- Instructors must have their own transportation.
