The Sumter Family YMCA is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Membership Representative to join our team. If you enjoy helping others, creating a welcoming environment, and making a positive impact in your community, we’d love to hear from you!
Position: Membership Representative
Part-Time
Schedule:
- Monday: 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Rotating Saturdays (as needed): 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome members and guests with exceptional customer service.
- Answer phones and respond to member questions.
- Process memberships, program registrations, and payments.
- Assist with membership inquiries, account updates, and general administrative tasks.
- Promote YMCA programs, events, and membership opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
- Support the YMCA’s mission by creating a welcoming environment for members of all ages.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong computer and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, professional, and team oriented.
- Previous customer service, retail, receptionist, or front desk experience is preferred but not required.
