Our Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I to join their team. This position is responsible for performing handyman and general maintenance service and repairs, as assigned. The South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA is unlike any other in the country. Our 60,000-square-foot facility is part of a unique collaboration that combines family recreation, education, sports, literacy, and wellness care on a single campus called “The Hill.” Hand in hand with our partners—St. Luke’s Health System, the West Ada School District, and the City of Meridian—the South Meridian Family Y will help us build A BETTER US.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position at 40 hours weekly with benefits. Schedule requirements are 7:00am-3:00pm or 8:00am-4:00pm. Pay: $14.45-$18.06/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Incorporates and adheres to preventative maintenance program to ensure the facilities and all of the equipment is kept in good running condition at all times.
- Performs basic maintenance including but not limited to painting, electrical, woodworking, building repair and cleaning.
- Completes work orders as assigned and within the time allotted.
- Assembles, moves, and maintains equipment as instructed.
- Removes and notifies necessary staff immediately of any damaged or unsafe equipment that needs to be replaced.
- Prioritizes safety, using safety protection and adhering to all safety protocols, policies, and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Skill in performing preventative maintenance preferred.
- Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
- Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
- Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
REQUIRED LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR/AED. Prerequisite upon hire – 14-day compliance period.
- First Aid Certification. Prerequisite upon hire – 14-day compliance period.
- Certified Pool Operator License (CPO) within 180 days of hire.
