Position Overview:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for supporting Manufacturing Operations through application of root cause analysis, disciplined problem solving, continuous improvement mindset, focus on waste reduction, communication and project management skills. This position will participate in and/or lead cross functional teams focused on new product launches, process improvement projects, capital and automation projects, supply chain improvement initiatives. This position will interface directly with all levels of manufacturing and will be accountable for the principal job functions listed below.

Who you’ll work with:
- Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, all levels of manufacturing.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in processes, tooling, and workflow efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve scrap, cycle time, and process variability issues.
- Collaborate with production, tooling, and maintenance teams to improve reliability and efficiency of current equipment.
- Develop and refine standard process procedures to ensure high quality and process repeatability.
- Lead and manage process improvement projects and transfer to manufacturing activities.
- Provide technical input on tool/equipment design, tooling specifications, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Oversee and document tooling/equipment trials, process validations, and process optimization.
- Develop project timelines, monitor progress, and proactively address risks or delays.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on project status, risks, and deliverables.
- Manage vendor quotation process – request, review, and compare supplier offers to ensure cost competitiveness and technical compliance.
- Assist with tooling reviews and design feedback using CAD and 3D modeling software.
- Support cost estimation, budgeting, and resource planning for projects.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Process Engineering, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes: automated assembly, packaging, laser marking, pad printing, manual assembly is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is an advantage.
- Must be detail oriented and able to work on multiple projects with minimal direction/supervision.
Compensation Range: $75,000 - $90,000
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, the compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.

Manufacturing/Distribution Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment. The role routinely involves working around machinery, equipment, and moving mechanical parts. The facility may be subject to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, and airborne particles such as dust or chemical fumes, depending on the area of the plant. This role may require periods of standing, sitting, or walking throughout the workday. Occasional bending, lifting, or carrying items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk. Hearing abilities required for this environment include being able to clearly hear and respond to audible alarms, production equipment, forklifts, and other machinery to maintain a safe work environment. Individuals must be able to distinguish and understand verbal communication including instructions, safety warnings, and team discussions, sometimes in an environment with moderate to high background noise.
