TITLE: Sales Manager
REPORTS TO: General Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for over all profit and cost of all aspects of sales department. Responsible for assisting in overseeing all operations of the sales department by maintaining customer relationships, responding to inquiries, and obtaining reservations using our web-based reservation system. All must be accomplished by providing the highest level of customer service and maintaining a professional appearance and positive attitude. Expected to adhere to the standards of Young Harris Water Sports & RV .

QUALIFICATIONS – Required
Education
Bachelor’s Degree and/or Equivalent Business Administration Experience
Experience
MUST HAVE 5 years of sales management/retail experience in the Boat/RV industry. Experience ordering boats and RV's from manufactures.
Skills
Ability to supervise a team of sales staff and model positive behavior, organize and maintain work flow, provide effective leadership, and exercise independent critical judgment. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, work with little to no supervision, high level of computer skills, proficient email correspondence, and generate the following: complex spread sheets, promotional material, contracts for service and professional business documents. Must be able to order boats and or RV's from manufactures.
Environment
Outdoor/Indoor environment. Will be exposed to the elements. Due to the location and time of year, will be exposed to temperature extremes both high and low.
Hours of Work
Expected to work long hours on any day of the week during peak season.
Travel
Minimum travel required.
Physical Requirements
Requires frequent computer use.

JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Leadership
· Effectively leads and engages staff, conveying to them their importance to the overall success of the company
· Supports organizational decisions, policies and procedures, and philosophies by communicating with buy-in modeling professional behavior, and holding staff accountable for meeting company and position expectations.
· Addresses performance, behavior or other concerns immediately, communicating closely with the Vice President.
· Able to work with little or no supervision.
· Responsible for company profitability and growth, expanding current revenue streams and developing new opportunities/programs.
2. Operations
· Responsible for maintaining all records concerning financial transactions.
· Schedule rentals using our web-based reservation system. Responsible for keeping staff trained to use the reservation system.
· Keep detailed craft maintenance records. Ensure watercraft receive proper maintenance based on manufacturers’ guidelines.
· Conduct routine examination of all rental and safety equipment and keep detailed records.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment reflective of company standards and goals.
3. Communication
· Give feedback regarding performance and maintain complete and accurate operational records.
· Responsible for communicating with company management team members to reach company goals.
· Accept constructive feedback in a positive manner and use feedback to develop plans for improvement.
· Create a positive work environment for staff and customers.
· Effectively handle stress, an increased workload, and/or workplace challenges in a calm and professional manner. Model professional communication methods to all staff.
· Arrive early or on time to meetings, return phone calls and emails in a timely manner. Meet deadlines and commitments. Communicate often to CEO and Vice President as to the status of goals and projects.

· Protect Young Harris Water Sports from litigation by following all policies and procedures established by company regarding Boat and Jet Ski rental operation.
· Sign the Young Harris Water Sports employee handbook and familiarize yourself with company policies.
5. Resource Management
· Effectively and efficiently utilize resources to maximize productivity, performance and profitability.
· Look for areas of improvement to decrease costs and/or increase profitability.
· Assure operational and organizational fiscal responsibilities are met.
· Ensure that adequate staffing is maintained and make adjustments as necessary.
· Review and approve all staff payroll and expense reports, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and company regulations.
6. Marketing
· Demonstrate a desire to grow the company.
· Create and distribute promotional materials to increase sales and profitability
7. Teaching and Supervision
· Introduce and demonstrate new techniques, equipment or industry trends to staff.
· Assist in the coordination of new programs.
· Ensure new/current employees receive all proper orientations and training (YHWS employee orientation, Boater Education, Towed Water Sports Credentials, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
