Job Description
Young Elite Safety, LLC is looking for a dependable and certified Traffic Control Supervisor to join our team. A Traffic Control Supervisor is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic control devices, including cones, signs, barrels, barricades, and other equipment used in construction zones, utility work areas, and special traffic situations.This position helps ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, motorists, and the public by managing traffic flow, following traffic control plans, and keeping work zones safe and organized.
Responsibilities
- Set up traffic control devices, including signs, cones, barrels, barricades, and other temporary traffic control equipment
- Follow traffic control plans to guide vehicles and pedestrians safely around work zones
- Direct traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and proper flagging procedures when needed
- Monitor, adjust, and maintain traffic control equipment throughout the workday
- Communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and crews using radios or other communication methods
- Respond to changing traffic conditions, incidents, or emergencies that may affect traffic flow
- Ensure all work zone safety procedures are followed to protect crews, drivers, pedestrians, and the public
- Keep job sites organized, professional, and compliant with safety standards
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods of time
- Travel to different job sites as needed
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule as required
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a current Traffic Control Technician or Supervisor certification
- Must be dependable and report to work on time
- Must have a basic understanding of traffic flow, road safety standards, and MUTCD guidelines
- Must be able to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions
- Must be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to lift, carry, and move signs, cones, barrels, and traffic control equipment
- Must be safety-minded and able to stay alert throughout the shift
- Strong communication skills required
- Previous traffic control, flagging, construction, utility, or roadway experience required
- Must be available for a rotating on-call schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reading or following traffic control plans
- Experience using radios for job site communication
- Experience working around construction, utility, or roadway crews

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Rotating on-call schedule required
- Some weekends, nights, emergency work, or schedule changes may be required while on call
