Lead Orthodontic Assistant/Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Orthodontic Assistant/Lead Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting orthodontic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and experience with various dental systems. Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Take impressions and utilize 3D scanners for orthodontic models.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with the dental team to enhance the overall patient experience.
• Travel To Alamosa, La Junta and Canon City

Experience

• Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar dental assisting role is preferred.
• Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dental clinic operations is advantageous.
• Proficient understanding of medical terminology and dental terminology is essential.
• Experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
