Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Music Teacher at our Frisco, TX location. The Music Teacher will instruct students in private lessons on piano, guitar, and voice, as well as lead engaging group sessions for early childhood music classes. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans tailored to individual students’ needs, teaching foundational and advanced music concepts, and fostering an appreciation for music through interactive and age-appropriate methods. Educators are expected to encourage creativity and skill development in students, maintain a supportive learning environment, and collaborate closely with parents and the YAMS team to ensure a positive experience for all students.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Music Theory and fundamentals of Music Education
- Proficiency in Music Performance, specifically in piano, guitar, and voice instruction
- Experience teaching piano, guitar, and/or voice to students of various skill levels
- A passion for nurturing early childhood music education and creating engaging lesson plans
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and parents
- Flexibility to teach younger children as well as learners at an advanced level
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous teaching experience or equivalent training in music instruction
