Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated toddler Teacher and teacher assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves planning and implementing engaging activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in preschool-aged children.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their curiosity and love for learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for students.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
- Provide first aid as needed while ensuring the health and safety of all students.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual requirements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices is advantageous.
- Experience in infant care, toddler care, or babysitting will be considered an asset.
- Certification in First Aid is required; CPR certification is a plus.
- A background in working with children with disabilities will be beneficial.
