Responsibilities
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat using professional knife skills and meat cutting techniques.
- Ensure all meat products meet safety, quality, and freshness standards in compliance with food handling regulations.
- Package meat products efficiently for retail display or customer orders, maintaining proper labeling and presentation.
- Assist customers with their selections by providing knowledgeable advice on cuts and cooking methods, delivering excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with food safety protocols.
- Support food production and preparation tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations in the meat department or kitchen setting.
- Follow all food industry guidelines related to hygiene, safety, and proper storage to uphold high standards of food safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production or kitchen environments, preferably with a focus on meat cutting or food handling.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with meat cutting techniques; culinary experience is highly valued.
