Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Load and unload items using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving on assigned routes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading goods.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar equipment is advantageous.
- Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
