Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated effectively to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety standards throughout the dining experience.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, dietary restrictions, and wine pairings to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring all payments are processed correctly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns or special requests promptly.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality by anticipating guest needs and providing assistance whenever necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or fine dining setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Know to how multitasking and prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with culinary terms and menu items is a plus, as well as experience using POS or similar systems.
