Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines.
- Handle food products safely, including proper storage and handling techniques.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food handling, and culinary techniques is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are required.
