Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and financial performance of YOTEL Washington D.C. This role oversees all hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales, Revenue Management, Finance, Human Resources, and Security. The General Manager will inspire a high-performing team while ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction, profitability, compliance, and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all hotel operations.
- Achieve financial goals through effective revenue management, expense control, and profit optimization.
- Lead, coach, and develop department leaders to build a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining YOTEL brand standards.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment, safety, and hospitality regulations.
- Partner with the corporate leadership team on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- Develop and execute business plans to maximize market share and profitability.
- Foster positive relationships with owners, vendors, community organizations, and business partners.
- Oversee recruitment, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
