Our rooftop lounge is one of the largest in the District with a full-service bar (seasonal) and seating area, expansive pool, moveable DJ table, and generously sized cabanas fitted with charging stations.
Deck 11 is the exclusive rooftop destination in Washington DC. Located at the top of YOTEL DC, Our expansive outdoor space includes an outdoor bar, cabana rentals, private events, and pool side lounging. YOTEL is looking for an inspiring leader who is starting their career in Food & Beverage. This position will work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage to create a summer season of fun cocktails, exclusive events and fresh music.
The Deck 11 Assistant Pool Manager is responsible for the daily success of Deck 11 while delivering a fun, energizing, modern and rewarding experience to guests.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of Deck 11 Bar and Pool.
Assist in creating cohesion and a unified Food and Beverage Department.
Collaborate with the Sales and Catering Department, regarding the operations and execution of all private events occurring at Deck 11.
Assist the Director of Food & Beverage in overseeing the execution of daily Banquet and Catering events.
Manage the implementation and execution of all Deck 11 activities pertaining to, but not limited to, hotel packages and any newly created activations or marketing concepts.
Ensure quality guest experience at Deck 11 and at YOTEL.
Provide fun, engaging, and driven work environment through motivation, support, empowerment, and development of the Crew.
Build positive relationships between the Deck 11 Crew and all the other YOTEL DC departments.
Provide constructive and consistent coaching, counseling, and direction to the Deck 11 Crew.
Assign tasks and hold staff accountable when necessary .
Manage the process in areas of guest service and associate satisfaction with an eye for quality and detail.
Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm through actions.
Present ideas, expectations, and information in a concise and well-organized manner.
Understand how to manage successfully in a culturally diverse work environment.
Present a problem-solving approach to decision-making and follow-up.
Ensure that Crew uphold all service procedures and communication standards as outlined by Standard Operating Procedures.
Manage the relationship and expectations with regards to the union agreement.
