The Lawn Maintenance Driver is responsible for safely transporting landscaping crews, equipment, and materials to and from assigned properties while assisting with lawn maintenance services. This position requires a valid driver’s license, safe driving practices, and the ability to perform landscaping duties as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment.
- Transport crew members, tools, and materials to scheduled job sites.
- Conduct daily vehicle and trailer inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Load and unload landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools.
- Assist with lawn mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, weeding, and general landscape maintenance.
- Ensure all equipment is secured properly during transportation.
- Follow assigned service routes and schedules efficiently.
- Maintain clean and organized vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding job progress, delays, or equipment concerns.
- Assist with irrigation inspections and minor repairs when directed.
- Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with residents, property managers, and board members.
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to tow and maneuver trailers safely.
- Previous landscaping experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate commercial lawn maintenance equipment.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime as needed.
- Typical start time: Early morning to accommodate scheduled landscaping routes.
Pay: $250.00 per day
