Are you an experienced mechanic or inspector? Look no further! Yoshi Mobility is seeking a part-time Mobile Vehicle Inspector to join our team. You will drive to customer addresses to perform a 360-degree, multi-point safety check of their vehicle.
This opening is for 10-15 hours per week.
Candidates must live in or near Antioch aond Concord.
Yoshi Mobility is a leading third-party provider of inspection services. As a Mobile Vehicle Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with rideshare/carshare/commercial vehicle regulations by driving to customers to conduct on-site inspections and thorough multi-point safety inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with TNC regulations
- Review documentation and records to verify adherence to safety protocols and compliance requirements
- Leverage mechanical experience and shop background to accurately assess vehicle conditions and identify potential safety concerns during virtual inspections
- Identify any potential violations or non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance and support on compliance matters
- Follow Yoshi Standard Operating Procedures
Requirements:
- Previous shop experience with hands-on vehicle repair and diagnostics
- Prior experience as a DOT inspector (preferred)
- ASE or similar certifications
- Knowledge of vehicle regulations and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Proficient with virtual inspection tools and technology
Shift options:
- 8 am - 12 pm
- 10 am - 2 pm
- 2 pm - 6 pm
Compensation:
- $20 per hour
- $0.70 per mile reimbursement for using your personal vehicle for business purposes
- Prorated technology reimbursement (up to $50.00 per month)
