Job Summary
Join the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad team and help bring the magic of the holidays to life We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Seasonal Team Members to support our annual Holiday Magic Train experience. Team members will assist guests as they enjoy festive train rides, holiday lights, music, food, and family fun in the beautiful Sierra National Forest. Ideal candidates enjoy working outdoors, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to a memorable holiday adventure for all who visit.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
All Positions
- Greet guests with a warm, positive, and holiday-spirited attitude
- Provide accurate information and helpful assistance to visitors
- Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines
- Support event setup, cleanup, and general site readiness
- Work evening and weekend shifts as needed during the holiday season
Facilities Team
- Assist with event setup, including decorations, lighting, and signage
- Maintain clean and safe restrooms, public areas, and seating spaces
- Perform snow/ice removal and general grounds keeping as needed
- Support maintenance staff with basic repairs and facility tasks
Food Service
- Prepare and serve food and beverages at concession areas
- Operate registers and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment following food safety standards
- Restock products and assist with inventory as needed
Train Operations
- Assist with boarding and unloading passengers in a safe and efficient manner
- Provide guest instructions and safety reminders
- Help train crew with station operations and platform organization
- Operate registers and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
Qualifications
Required
- Friendly, customer-service–focused attitude
- Ability to work in an outdoor, mountain environment in winter conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, retail, food service, or maintenance
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Interest in railroads, history, outdoor recreation, or holiday events
