What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at Yorkshire Industries?
Overview: We are seeking to fill a temporary role for an onsite Construction Superintendent. The job site is on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Deep Gap, North Carolina 28618. Our company is in the process of rehabilitating an overpass bridge and have various scopes of working being performed such as milling, paving, concrete repairs, striping, and masonry. We are needing to hire someone who can will be available for the entire duration of the project beginning July 6 and continuing for 3-4 months. You will not be performing the actual construction work, you will be overseeing it being performed and ensuring quality control.
Duties:
-Ensure that the crew onsite is completing the project as required in the Plans and Specs
-Supervise the work and convey any concerns to the on-site crew
-Complete Daily Quality Control reports if necessary
-Be the Company's liaison to convey any questions or necessary information to the Client's inspector
Requirements:
-Must be available to be on-site while the work is being performed.
-Must be able to transport yourself to and from the job site
