What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at Yorkshire Industries?
Overview: We are seeking to fill a temporary role for an onsite Construction Superintendent. The job site is on the Blue Ridge Parkway through Floyd and Franklin County Virginia. Our company is in the process of chip sealing and fog sealing 23 miles of roadway. We are needing to hire someone who can will be available for the entire duration of the project beginning May 4 and continuing for 3-4 months. You will also need to attend a pre-construction meeting you will be compensated for. You will not be performing the actual construction work, you will be overseeing it being performed and ensuring quality control.
Duties:
-Ensure that the crew onsite is completing the project as required in the Plans and Specs
-Supervise the work and convey any concerns to the on-site crew
-Complete Daily Quality Control reports if necessary
-Be the Company's liaison to convey any questions or necessary information to the Client's inspector
Requirements:
-Must be available to be on-site while the work is being performed.
-Must be able to transport yourself to and from the job site
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
