What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant position at York Veterinary Center?
York Veterinary Center is a full service veterinary hospital located
in the Upper East Side. We are looking for a part time or full time
veterinary technician or assistant to join our staff. Our facility is equipped with digital dental radiographs, digital DR plate radiographs, ultrasound,
electrosurgical unit, in house CBC and chemistry machines, and Avimark
software.
At York Veterinary Center, we believe strongly in work/life balance.
There are no on-call hours once our office is closed for the day. Working hours will be flexible. We also have a team based approach where all office responsibilities are shared.
Potential employees must be able to do the following tasks:
-Interact with clients and pets in a positive, helpful, and caring manner
-Answer phones/book appointments
-Knowledge of veterinary medicine
-Ability to use computer/Microsoft word/medical record software
-Restrain animals upwards of 100 pounds
-Able to lift at least 50 pounds
-Ability to assist in keeping the office sanitary
