Long-Term Substitute Elementary Physical Education Teacher Position

• Grade 4Coastal Ridge is seeking a dedicated long term substitute Physical Education (PE) teacher to join our team for an extended leave period.

We serve students in grades 2 through 4, providing a crucial foundation for lifelong health and wellness.

This position offers a rewarding chance to shape positive habits and introduce fundamental movement skills in a fun, safe, and supportive elementary environment.

Position Dates:

Start Date:
December 8th (or as soon as possible thereafter)

End Date:
March 8th (approximately 13 weeks)

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate PE lessons for students in grades - 4.Focus on developing fundamental motor skills and body management.

Foster social skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, following school safety protocols.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Manage equipment inventory and maintenance.
Collaborate with other elementary staff and administration.


Qualifications and Experience:

Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, or a related field.
Prior experience working with students in lower elementary grades (2-4), preferably in a PE setting.
Understanding of elementary school curriculum and child development principles.
Strong classroom management skills that promote positive behavior and participation.
