We are seeking a warm, patient, and energetic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Cafe and Recess Monitor for the upcoming school year. This is a crucial role that helps ensure the safety and well-being of our students during lunch and recess. The ideal candidate will be a kind and engaging presence who is able to actively support the social and emotional needs of children in both structured and unstructured environments.ResponsibilitiesSupervise students ages 7-10 in the cafeteria and on the playground during recess.Work collaboratively with a team of four other adults to support a student body of approximately 310 students.Actively engage with students, fostering positive social interactions and conflict resolution.Address the social needs of students in a compassionate and proactive manner.Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment.Schedule & DetailsDays: Monday through FridayHours: 10:35 AM to 1:50 PMTerm: This is a school-year position, starting on August 31, 202, and ending on or after June 15, 2027, depending on the school calendar and any potential snow days.QualificationsExperience working with children, preferably in an elementary school setting.Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and needs.A compassionate and patient demeanor.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work as part of a team.The ability to be an active and engaging presence with students on a daily basis.Be able to stand for an extended time
