What You'll Do:
In this essential role, you will:
- Prepare and electronically submit all Medicare claims and complete timely follow-up based on established guidelines.
- Review and work billing-related reports, including Late Charge and No Charge reports, and perform related follow-up.
- Assist patients and payers by addressing billing questions and providing accurate claim information.
- Complete daily operational tasks such as charge entry, cash receipt posting, printing billing forms/reports, and balancing accounts receivable.
- Monitor and interpret Medicare regulatory updates and share pertinent changes with department leaders.
- Maintain and update the charge master, including additions, deletions, edits, and new charge number creation using fee schedules.
- Participate in Corporate Compliance, including completing monthly logs.
