We are seeking an experienced and hands-on finance leader to oversee accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), procurement planning, operational analytics, and process improvement initiatives. This position serves as a strategic business partner to executive leadership while maintaining ownership of day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation combined with experience supporting manufacturing and distribution operations. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced, international environment and possess a passion for continuous improvement, automation, and leveraging technology to enhance business performance.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Prepare financial reporting packages including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Oversee multi-entity accounting and international financial reporting.
- Manage inventory and cost accounting functions.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Coordinate annual audits and collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Oversee sales and use tax compliance and business registrations.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff across multiple locations.
- Develop and improve accounting processes to support business growth.
- Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Prepare rolling forecasts and financial models.
- Analyze budget-to-actual and forecast variances while identifying operational drivers.
- Develop KPI dashboards and provide meaningful financial insights to leadership.
- Support strategic planning through financial analysis and special projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and working capital.
- Oversee demand planning, inventory planning, and procurement activities.
- Review purchasing recommendations and inventory strategies.
- Monitor customer forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain risks.
- Serve as the primary backup for purchasing and planning operations.
- Supervise planning personnel and support cross-functional collaboration.
- Evaluate and improve accounting and operational business processes.
- Support ERP implementation and business system enhancements.
- Standardize reporting and operational procedures across business units.
- Identify opportunities to implement automation and AI-driven solutions.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and decision-making.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Manufacturing and distribution industry experience required.
- Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
- Experience managing multi-entity accounting environments.
- Experience with international transactions and intercompany accounting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Prior leadership and staff management experience.
- ERP implementation experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Excellent financial reporting and analytical skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on leadership style with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience utilizing AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese preferred.
